First Flipped Classroom Teaching Video Experience
Hello to all of you! It's alperen. This week our subject was flipped-classroom approach. we were asked to prepare a teaching video for our lecturer. Allow me to briefly describe it. In basic terms, the flipped classroom approach offers both in-class and out-of-class learning experiences in a student-centered learning environment.
The flipped classroom strategy offers benefits as well as drawbacks. Let's begin by talking about the benefits. An engaged and student-centered learning process is offered by this method. Additionally, it is tailored and adapted to the requirements of the students. Yet, a few drawbacks could make the procedure more difficult. For example, it necessitates student autonomy and drive. Due to their independence, students occasionally fail to finish assigned assignments, which results in gaps in their classroom knowledge.
For sixth graders, my partner Hatice and I created a teaching film about the location of cities. Because of the tool we chose, the process wasn't too difficult. We used Renderforest for all processes. While it was a lot of fun, there were some technical issues when we recorded the voices for the video. The sentences we originally selected for the film were too simple for the pupils, but we corrected them in the edited version. We are quite happy with the finished product. I sincerely hope you enjoy it. You can access our teaching film by clicking here.
