DIGITAL STORYTELLING

Hi again,

Digital storytelling preparation process was awesome! It was really a good experience for me. Me and my friends decided to create a PSA which is a way to inform people about different topics. Our topic was digital piracy and it took 3 days to complete this assignment. The first day we decided on our topic altogether and later we shared our works. On the third day, we prepared our scripts, recorded our voices and gather some pictures, videos, and background music. If I ever become a teacher I don't think that I'll give this as an assignment even though it's so fun to prepare because it's so time-consuming and complex. Burcu edited our videos via iMovie which is a video editing application developed by Apple. She said it wasn't a complicated app she easily handled the editing process. In some parts, not everybody's voice is at the same level so she had to synchronize the recorded voices. As I said the process was tiring the outcome was wonderful it was like I was going to see our PSA on the television program break. Here I'll give my friends blogs if you want to take a look at them.

 Hey everyone! We completed another term with lots of new experiences and information. This year’s Current Issues course helped me a lot. It has lots of strengths like direct material design prepares us for the following courses and helps us with these tasks in an innovative way. It also had a few weaknesses such as, some of the tasks are not applicable in some of the classroom scenarios because of the inequality of opportunity between the learners.  The course was a bit hard in terms of using technology proficiently and the necessity of creativity. CREATING A PODCAST

  Podcasting We actually created a podcast about relationships. We conducted this task with 17 people but only 10 of them were in the podcast. Most of the participants have a stable relationship and they're happy. That was the first time I created a podcast and had a lot of fun when completing the task. All of a sudden you run into the person and ask him/her a question that is a little private and also weird. I recorded voices for the task but later I realized that I'll definitely remember this as a memory later in my life. In my own opinion, the most difficult part of the task was the time limitation. In terms of educational purposes, I would like to use it in my classes if I happen to be a teacher. Creating a podcast is more entertaining than I used to think I enjoyed every single moment of this task.
